Suzanne M. Lyte received her Bachelor's Degree from Rutgers University in 1982 and her Juris Doctor's Degree from California Western School of Law in 1985. She received her NJ License to practice law in 1985. She has focused her practice on FAMILY LAW, REAL ESTATE, and MUNICIPAL COURT matters for 23 years and is a member of the Early Settlement Panel in Middlesex County Family Court and is a court-appointed accredited Divorce Mediator. She says, "When a person decides to seek legal help for a Family Law matter, I know they have not come to that decision easily. A person's family life is intensely private. The decision to end a marriage is a life altering one. You need to know your legal rights, but you also need to know that your lawyer listens to your needs and is sensitive to your situation. The court system is not organized to give each person individual attention. The experience is made bearable only if you find the right advocate to be on your side." Brian C. Lorio comes to Lyte & Associates as an attorney well versed in a variety of disciplines. He is a native of Davenport, Iowa and earned his Bachelor of Science in Speech at Northwestern University. His area of concentration was rhetorical theory and political science. Brian received his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 1998. At each school, he was active in the university community and was noted for his advocacy and leadership. Brian received his introduction to the law as a prosecutor. He was a part of the Iowa State Summer Prosecutors Program in 1997 serving as an county attorney intern at the Scott County Attorney's Office. This lead to a four year tenure with the Bronx County District Attorney's Office. While there he handled a range of criminal matters including assault, drunk driving, drug sales and drug possession. Beyond trials and hearings, he also did civil forfeitures, witness intake and stenographic statements from defendants. The last three years saw Brian enter the corporate side of law as an insurance analyst. With AIG and St. Paul Travelers, Brian worked with environmental pollution and reinsurance claims. The clientele was as various as small business to large corporations, however each received a fair, personal touch as Brian determined claims, monitored litigation and participated in mediations to assure that the client received a favorable resolution. Brian is an adjunct professor at Briarcliffe College in Long Island City, Queens and Jersey City University in Jersey City - having received high marks from his students as an instructor. In addition, he is also a volunteer attorney with Legal Services of Newark-Essex County and the Manavi Organization for South Asian Women. Brian reads and speaks SPANISH. Suzanne M. Kathleen O'Keefe is the Paralegal for the firm's Real Estate Department. She has over 20 years experience in the legal and real estate fields.
